Advanced Massage Therapy
The Advanced Massage Therapy program is designed to provide graduates with a solid educational foundation for a career as a massage therapist. Students can gain extensive hands-on practice and skills in a variety of techniques applicable to the clinical setting. This program should also prepare graduates with key business knowledge to help them build their individual massage therapy practices.

Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technology
This exciting program can provide the student with entry-level skills to perform non-invasive cardiovascular exams, including EKG, stress EKG, echocardiographic and vascular testing as an entry-level cardiovascular technologist. The comprehensive program is also well weighted with practical learning. Both day and evening programs include a full-time, unpaid clinical externship. The programs' courses are designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs that may involve:
Performing non-invasive cardiovascular procedures
Assisting physicians in the diagnosis of a patient's condition through echocardiography
Working with a team of healthcare physicians in a hospital or clinical environment

Criminal Justice
The objective of this program is to provide students with the appropriate general education, didactic theory, and hands-on-skills required to begin and/or enhance a career in criminal justice. The purpose of the program is to provide the student with a broad base of knowledge that integrates academic content in corrections, law enforcement, court systems while superimposing career focus in entry-level and administrative perspectives.
This program is designed to prepare students with key knowledge and abilities in criminal justice and juvenile justice processes, criminology, law enforcement, law adjudication and corrections. The primary goal of this program is to give students the broad-based preparation necessary to become qualified criminal justice professionals in the field.

Dental Assisting
The Dental Assisting program can prepare graduates to assist in a variety of dental office situations. This program can give students a background in dental anatomy, pathology, and terminology, as well as dental materials, radiography and chair side assisting techniques. Graduates of the program will have experience in assisting a dentist with exams and a variety of dental procedures, preparing instruments, taking dental x-rays, conducting dental laboratory procedures and reception and office management procedures.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Sanford-Brown is pleased to offer a program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Ultrasound. This program can provide the student with preparation for entry-level responsibilities as a diagnostic medical sonographer. The curriculum addresses fundamental topics in sonographic physics and instrumentations, abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, gray scale and color-flow Doppler sonography. Both day and evening programs include a full-time, unpaid clinical externship. The programs' courses are designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs that may involve:
Interacting with patients
Preparing patient histories
Performing non-invasive procedures using ultrasound equipment
Preparing ultrasound study reports to assist physicians in the diagnosis of certain patient conditions

Medical Billing and Coding Specialist
This exciting program can provide the student with entry-level skills to perform processing, reporting, security and management of health information within the healthcare setting. Students may choose to enroll in either a day or evening program. The programs' courses are designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs that may involve:
Structure and analysis of health data
Coding and indexing of information
Management of retention and reimbursement systems for health insurance claims
File analysis and management, healthcare statistics and health record evaluation
Health information specialists and medical billers/coders are trained professional members of the business and operations staff of today's health care industry. With today's constantly changing insurance and administrative information requirements in the medical field, they are important to the smooth operation of virtually any medical office. A career in health information technology is challenging and offers a variety of opportunities. There are career options in doctors' offices, clinics, public health facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, insurance agencies, information services departments, and self-employment.

Medical Assistant
This program is designed to give students the training and skills they need to perform various technical and administrative skills to function as a key member of any health care team. Coursework in patient preparation, medication administration, emergency medical procedures, and office procedures ensures our student’s successful transition into the fast-paced field of medicine.
The curriculum includes:
Blood work and lab work
CPR and First aid administration
Medical records management
Emergency medical procedures
Billing/coding
Graduates of the program are eligible to take the American Medical Technologists Registered Medical Assistant Exam (RMA). This nationally recognized certification entitles AMT-registered medical assistants to affiliate with that organization. Graduates are also eligible for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation offered by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

Medical Laboratory Technician
In this program, students can learn to conduct tests on blood, tissue and other specimens. The results of these tests are then used in the diagnosis and treatment of clinical patients' conditions. Students can also have responsibilities for lab quality control, including preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment or the outsourcing of that repair. The Medical Lab Technician program is designed to prepare the students to enter into their profession in a variety of entry level positions; under the supervisor of physicians in a Doctors Office, lab managers or medical or clinical lab technologists in Hospitals or independent Laboratories.

Surgical Technology
