The Criminal Justice Program at McIntosh College offers more than just an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. It offers students in a classroom environment a chance to learn first hand from some of the most respected law enforcement and public safety professionals in the state.
Students pursuing a degree in our criminal justice program can learn about a variety of disciplines within the field, including law enforcement, probation, insurance, investigation and corrections. Of equal importance are the administrative, technical, interpersonal and critical-thinking skills which the criminal justice program at McIntosh College can help develop.
The Associate Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Crime Scene Technology is designed to prepare students to work in a wide range of public and private service environments including law enforcement, probation, insurance, investigation, and corrections. This unique criminal justice program combines the technical, administrative, and interpersonal skills required of the criminal justice professional with a strong foundation in the social, ethical, and legal issues he or she will confront on the job.
All Criminal Justice majors are required to complete CPR-First Aid Certification. Seminars are offered regularly at McIntosh College and are in addition to regular tuition fees.
McIntosh College does not guarantee third-party testing. Test requirements for taking and passing police officer examinations are not controlled by McIntosh College but by outside agencies and are subject to change by the agencies without notice to McIntosh College.

The McIntosh College Associate of Science Degree program in Accounting combines the principles of accounting theory and application. Students seeking careers as accountants, bookkeepers, in accounts payable/receivable, as payroll coordinators or in a wide range of other areas in financial services will have the opportunity to gain a working knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

The McIntosh College Business Management Program will include management, accounting, finance, marketing and computer applications as part of the curriculum. Utilizing industry-current business applications software, students will have the opportunity to research and analyze case studies and learn how to solve real world business issues.
The Associate Degree Program in Business Management can lead to career opportunities in business, government, retail management, marketing and more. Students in the business management program will have the opportunity to work with faculty to create an interdisciplinary program of study leading to an Associate of Science Degree. Health care facilities, hospitals, chiropractic offices, nursing homes, health clubs, resorts or private practice are among the many options our students in our Massage Therapy program have to choose from upon graduation.
A career as a Massage Therapist requires a balanced education of the science, techniques and ethics involved. The McIntosh College Massage Therapy program offers a training combination of theory, lecture and application that meets all state certification requirements. In the ever expanding health care field, the medical assisting program has become an increasingly important human link between the patient and the medical services provider. The McIntosh College Medical Assisting Associate of Science Degree program is designed to prepare students so that they may become healthcare professionals with the clinical, administrative, interpersonal and technical skills necessary to succeed as a medical assistant.
Hospitals, clinics, physician's offices, laboratories and state health facilities and a variety of other health care environments will all be in need of medical assistant graduates, considering the increasingly aging population base in the United States.
Medical Assisting Program Educational Objectives
Demonstrate the workplace skills of problem solving, maintaining interpersonal relationships, understanding and applying legal and ethical concepts, and communicating effectively in a professional medical environment
Demonstrate the ability to perform patient-related clinical duties and laboratory procedures as appropriate to the clinical setting
Demonstrate the ability to perform the administrative duties of medical office management, including reception, medical bookkeeping, secretarial, medical records and computer applications

The McIntosh College Paralegal Studies Associate of Science Degree program can provide the academic and technical foundation to help you build a professional career as a paralegal. During your paralegal studies program, a broad spectrum of pertinent paralegal issues and curriculum are covered, including traditional legal research, communications, business and computer courses.
McIntosh College students majoring in paralegal studies will have the additional advantage of receiving computerized research training using Westlaw.
Paralegal Studies program graduates from McIntosh College may find opportunities within the federal and state court systems, government offices, large law firms, corporate legal departments, banks or with individual attorneys. Private law firms currently employ 7 out of 10 paralegals, offering challenging and important work in this expanding industry.

CLA Exam Preparation
Each spring McIntosh College is the test site for the Certified Legal Assistant Exam administered by the National Association of Legal Assistants. Students enrolled in our Paralegal Program are encouraged to take the course and the CLA® Exam. McIntosh College does not guarantee third-party testing.
