This program provides a solid business foundation while teaching the computer and office skills that are vital to every office career. Emphasis is placed on developing strong computer and communication abilities, which are vital tools in the workplace.
Our training program is divided into learning units called modules. You must complete the modules in their entirety, in any sequence, to successfully complete this curriculum.

Dental Assisting

Would you like to become an integral member of a dental health team? Dental Assistants are educated to perform chairside assisting methods, patient procedures, and related office and laboratory tasks under the direction and supervision of a licensed dentist.

The variety of tasks you learn will allow you to be challenged by diverse responsibilities in the delivery of dental care. You will gain knowledge of the basic dental sciences, proficiency in laboratory and clinical skills, and practical experience involving specialized skills. You will obtain hands-on experience in a laboratory setting using major equipment such as amalgamators, dental units and chairs, model trimmers, oral evacuation equipment, oxygen tanks, personal computers, ultrasonic units, and X-ray units.

Duties of a Dental Assistant may include: assisting a dentist at chair side with basic dental procedures; preparing materials for use by the dentist; cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments; providing education to patients about good dental health; and performing preventive procedures. You will be trained in valuable clinical, radiographic, and administrative procedures, leading to career opportunities with dental offices, dental supply manufacturers, hospital dental departments, and insurance companies. Vocational Nursing

The objective of the Vocational Nursing Program is to provide the student with the appropriate didactic theory and hands-on skills required and necessary, to prepare them for entry level positions as licensed vocational nurse in today’s health care centers clinics, and facilities. The combination of introduced skills taught in this program, will prepare students for the ever-changing field of nursing and health care. Students study fundamental principles and practices of nursing, anatomy and physiology, infection control, asepsis and patient care skills, pharmacology, nursing process and health care of client throughout their life span and in addition to their clinical rotations, students also have the opportunity to practice their skills in the clinical skills lab. Clinical skills competency will be assessed at the completion of Pharmacology and the completion of each level.

Also covered in this program will be the ethical and legal responsibilities of the vocational nurse as they relate to the health care facility, the client, and co-workers. Professionalism and general communication skills, both of which are considered essential to any health care professional, are also taught and addressed throughout the entire program.

Medical Clinical Assistant

Do you want to be involved in the inner-workings of a doctor’s office? This comprehensive program will provide you with back-office training in a medical or clinical environment. You will gain proficiency in a variety of patient care tasks as well as the use of related equipment and supplies. Our training program is divided into three learning units called modules. You must complete the modules in their entirety, in any sequence, to successfully complete this curriculum. Modules A through C stand alone as units of study and are not dependent upon previous training. If you do not complete any portion of one of these modules, the entire module must be repeated.

In each module, you will learn and apply practical skills, develop equipment proficiency, and study related medical terminology.
The Medical Clinical Assistant program will prepare you to perform the following tasks:
  • Taking vital signs
  • Preparing patients
  • Documenting patient histories
  • Assisting in exams
  • Collecting specimens
  • Giving injections
  • Sterilizing supplies and equipment
