Belhaven's Adult Degree Program enables working adults to fit a
quality higher education into their busy schedule, and their budget.
Taught by field specialists in small classes, the program offers a
relevant education within a Christian framework. The curriculum
provides the latest theory and practice with a focus on developing
the character needed to be an ethical leader in today's complex
and fast-changing world. Classes meet just once a week, and most
students can complete their degree in as little as 2 years.
Established in 1883, Belhaven is a nationally recognized college,
and is accredited by both the Southern Association of Colleges and
Schools and the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education.

The Associate of Arts degree program provides adults with an excellent foundation in the liberal arts within a Christian context while preparing them for continued studies. The curriculum develops the adult learner's sensitivity to human values and capacity for critical thinking.

Bachelor Degrees
Bachelor of Arts in Social Services
Belhaven College seeks to introduce all students the study of human behavior and mental processes within a Christian context. This major is designed to provide a foundation of knowledge in the field of social services and to prepare students for future study in the fields of social services. Emphasis is placed on developing the students’ abilities to understand and to apply social services in their everyday lives. An important goal in all social service courses is to help students in their ability to appropriately interrelate their study of social service and the Christian faith. Belhaven College has developed each course to build upon the previous course in a sequence. The format is an accelerated sequential scheduling approach. Each course is offered in a five to seven week format. Students meet one night a week for four hours of classroom instruction and one night a week in their project teams. The B.A. in S.S. program of study consists of a total of 124 semester hours with a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average.

Bachelor of Business Administration
The Bachelor of Business Administration degree offers the theoretical and practical blend needed in today's business world and is designed for adults seeking a general business degree. The program provides a strong foundation in the basic areas of business: management, economics, marketing, accounting, finance, and business administration within a Christian context. Within the 49-credit business major, the courses provide a framework that adults need to succeed in increasingly responsible leadership roles. Emphasis is on the development of one's exposure to human problems and personal values through a well-planned and sequenced curriculum which integrates increasingly advanced cognitive skills, awareness of self and others, biblical values, and social and interpersonal skills.

Bachelor of Health Administration
The Bachelor of Health Administration is designed to integrate a foundation of general education with health administration theory and practice the expertise that prepares the graduate for management positions in health administration. The BHA curriculum addresses the basic body of knowledge, understanding, and skills identified to be relevant to health administration: Critical thinking from a Biblical perspective to analyze and solve complex problems, Professional communication skills that are developed by developing an understanding of the Biblical principles applicable to provide effective communication strategies within the organization, with staff, patients, and the public. Leadership abilities that have been established on biblical principles to establish and lead effective work teams toward a shared organizational mission. Foundation of ethical principles based on Bible to guide the decision making process from application of personal and organizational values.

Master of Business Administration
The computer-enhanced Master of Business Administration degree program is a 42 semester credit hour graduate program designed to enhance the professional skills of business managers and executives. The program is designed for adult professionals who seek to build their business education foundation and work experience in order to further their personal and professional career objectives through the acquisition of additional knowledge and skills in the area of business management within a Christian context. Designed to develop the individual's ability to comprehend internal and external social, legal, political, and economic forces as they affect the decision-making process within the organization, the program has been structured to serve both holders of baccalaureate degrees in business administration as well as other disciplines.
Classes are offered one night per week for twenty-two months. The format is an accelerated sequential scheduling approach designed in which an entering class stays together throughout the program. Students are required to participate in weekly project team activities which are designed to enhance the learning process and the development of problem-solving skills. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program: develops persons functioning at the upper-mid management and top management positions, emphasizes strategic management concepts and principles, makes greater use of research findings, and uses complex computer skills. The MBA core takes approximately 22 months to complete.
