Associate Degree
Associate degrees usually take about 2 years to complete and are 60 credits. They are usually offered at community colleges but many online schools offer them also so you can work and study at the same time.
There are many types of associate degrees including the following:
Associate of Arts (AA) – This is usually awarded for liberal art studies and will help you get into a four year degree program.
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) – This degree is slightly different from an AA degree since it usually specializes in a particular field. This allows an individual to be ready for a job or gives them the option to take a four year degree.
Associate of Science (AS) – These degrees are usually designed to allow you to go into a four year degree. Associate of Science degrees usually focus on math, natural sciences, and technology.
